Social Assistance for Community Development (SACD)

Social Assistance for Community Development (SACD)

BACKGROUND

In the vibrant landscapes of Bangladesh, where challenges meet boundless potential, a small seed of hope was planted in 2006. That seed grew into the Social Assistance for Community Development (SACD), a national NGO dedicated to empowering marginalized communities. Over the years, SACD has expanded its reach across 18 districts, addressing pressing challenges through diverse initiatives, including emergency aid, inclusive education, shelter programs, and skill development. Committed to fostering empowerment and sustainable change, SACD continues to bring hope and opportunities to those in need across Bangladesh. The organization’s commitment to transparency and accountability is reflected in its dual registration with both the NGO Affairs Bureau (2006) and the Department of Social Welfare (2009), reinforcing its credibility and reach.

VISION

SACD envisions a world where every individual and community thrive with dignity and equal opportunity, fostering self-reliance and inclusivity while eradicating inequities through humanitarian driven principles.

MISSION

To uplift marginalized communities by fostering social accountability, enhancing resilience, and restoring dignity through sustainable initiatives in human rights, education, healthcare, livelihoods & skill development, shelter and essential resources, promoting self-reliance and driving enduring transformative change.
